Her leadership experience with Baylor Ambassadors included advocacy work for educational funding initiatives, where she lobbied on Capitol Hill and at the Texas Capitol for Pell Grant and Tuition Equalization grant access.

Alyssa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baylor University with a degree in Professional Writing and Rhetoric Pre-Law. During her time at Baylor, she was selected to participate in the first cohort of Challenge Based Interdisciplinary Scholars. Her research focused on democracy in the digital age and the intersection of political media with civic engagement.
